My father's name is Wayne Maurice Smith. His mother's name was Emma Hoiten. She was the daughter of Jacoba Feenstra & George Hoiten. Emma Hoiten married Floyd Smith. They lived in Poplar, Montana, where Floyd was the station agent for the Great Northern Railway. My father was born in Poplar, and now lives in Chehalis, Washington. He is 82 and a retired doctor. This past year he visited Dr. J.H.B. Feenstra's house in Arcadia, Iowa. George Hoiten was born in Germany and lived in Schleswig, Iowa.
