HIGGINS, BORDERS, RITTENHOUSE, BAILEY

Higgins - This is an update on my previous inquiry. My GGgrand father Levi HIGGINS and his wife Jemima BORDERS Higgins are listed on the1860 Carroll Co. Census. with several of their children. On the 1870-1880 census he is listed as having a wife Nancy. We now know she was Jemima's sister Nancy (RITTENHOUSE HIGGINS BAILEY) We have found Nancy as well as her son James RITTENHOUSE. They died and are buried in Torrington, Wy. We still are attempting to find where Levi HIGGINS and his first wife Jemima BORDERS Higgins and any children are buried as well as determining which of Levi's children were born to Jemima and which were born to Nancy. There still may be HIGGINS decendants in Carroll Co as we believe Levi fathered about 15 Children and we can only find a few who moved on to Custer Co. NE between 1880 and 1890.
