Walter was born 2 Dec 1892 in Wheatland, Clinton County, IA the son of Andrew
and Emma Bentrott Klahn. Walter married Irma Elizabeth Wohlers on 18 Jun 1919 in
Clinton, Clinton County, IA. [60th Anniversary Announcement, The Clinton Herald,
Clinton, IA 11 Jun 1979] Irma was born 3 November 1899 in Manning, Carroll
County, IA the daughter of Rudolph and Alma Steen Wohlers. Irma’s mother married
William Lucas Dahms 13 Apr 1935 in Davenport, Scott County, IA.
