I've also been researching info on HEATER. My maternal grandmother was Lola Mae Heater b. 11 APR 1901 Coon Rapids, Carroll, IA married Pearl Joy Ayers b. 2 JAN 1893 Carthage, Miner, SD. Lola and Pearl had 13 children, the first 2 were born in Huron, Beadle, SD, the other were born in Macedonia and Carson, Pottawattamie, IA. Lola's parents were Charles Monroe Heater b. 6 APR 1874 Coon Rapids and Anna Amandee Umbaugh b 25 APR 1878 Carrollton, Carroll, IA. Lola's siblings were Irma (Erma) Bertham m. Otmar John Webber, Hazel Gertrude m. George Hiner, and Clinton Monroe (named after his paternal grandfather)m. Ruby May Hanson. Documents and citations, however, are few and far between but I have some. I have some info on current Heater generations, but have not succeeded in finding info on Clinton Monroe Heater & earlier. I would also be interested in any info that you may have.
