Hi - While I do not have info re Anna Grote/Herman C. Bruning, I do have info re a Rauch ancestor (Elizabeth Rauch b. 1866) who married Bernard Grote (.b. 1864 in Dubuque, Iowa) in Breda, Iowa in 1892. And among their many descendants (for whom I have some info) is an Eileen C. Derner (b. 1927 in Auburn, Iowa) who married a Glen J. Bruning (b. 1921 in Breda) in 1949 at Breda; they had 5 children. If any of this is of interest to you, please contact me directly at hrauch@infionline.net and I can provide additional details. I have no Grote information prior to 1864 and no Bruning information prior to 1921.
