Carroll Lady Dies Saturday Morning. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon with Rev. A. J. Mueller in charge. Mrs. Henry Boell died Saturday morning, October 24 (1925), after being in frail health for some time. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o’clock, first at the home and later at the Lutheran Church, Rev. A. J. Mueller officiating. Mrs. Boell, as a girl was Miss Marie Pluckhahn (Plückhahn) of Mecklenburg, Germany, where she was born June 15, 1843. She was married in Germany to Henry Boell and they came to America in 1874, settling first in Lyons, New York. In 1884, they came to Carroll County making their home for two years in Carroll, Iowa. They moved to Grant Township where they rented a farm which they later bought. For the last 22 years, Mrs. Boell was a resident of this city, where she has many friends, who will sympathize with the family in the loss of their beloved mother. Mrs. Boell was a devoted member of the Lutheran Church and when in good health took an active part in all church affairs. Her husband died in this city in January 1916. The surviving children are Charles Boell, with whom she made her home; Mrs. Minnie Sporleder of Lake City, Henry and Albert, both of Carroll County. She is also survived by two daughters-in-law, one son-in-law (Henry Sporleder), 20 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Note: The obituary omitted son William Boell.
