Former Resident of Glidden Died at Rippey; Burial at Glidden

From the Jefferson Bee of April 1, we clip the following: "Mrs. Grace Hunter Jacobus, a former resident of Jefferson, died at her home in Rippey, Monday night. Funeral services was held Wednesday and burial will be in the Glidden cemetery besides her father and mother. Mrs. Jacobus was about 72 years of age, and is a cousin of Mrs. Will I. Lyon and Mrs. Glenn W. Taylor of Jefferson. She taught in the rural schools of Greene and Carroll counties for several years before her marriage to L. J. Jacobus. She leaves her husband and many other relatives in Iowa and Illinois. Mr. and Mrs. Jacobus made their home in and near Glidden until a few years ago, when they moved near Jefferson later moving to the Rippey community. The body was brought to Glidden and burial arrangements were in charge of Junia Eaton.
