Gray- Mrs. John W. Jensen, 49, of Gray died Saturday, Jan 29, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carrol following a long illness. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Ohde Funeral Home at Manning, with the Rev. Edna C. Whitson, pastor of the Fray Methodist Church, officiating. Mrs. Lyle Joens will be soloist and Mrs. Bonita Hagedorn, organist. Pallbearers will be Charles E. King, Jr., Lloyd Aikamn, Fern Davis, Herman Meislahn, Glen Aikman and Melvin Hansen. Mrs. Jensen was the former Irene Mabel Jensen. She was born Nov. 13, 1916, in Lincoln Township, Audubon County, a daughter of Allen G. and Lilas Barnhart Briggs. She and Mr. Jensen, who was from Exira, were married in June, 1936, and lived in Kansas City for two years. Since they had lived near and in Gray. Surviving are her husband; four children, Roger C., Manilla; John C., Laramie, Wyo.; Michael C., Gray; and Mrs David (Jonen C.) Bohlmann, Schleswig; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Earl Briggs, Paramount, Calif., and Herbert Briggs, Grand Junction; and a sister, Mrs. Clarence (Ione) Lauritzen, Exira. Mrs. Jensen was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
