Funeral services for Ben Henry Berns, 67, who died Feb. 16 at his home in Carroll, were held Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. John's American Lutheran Church, Grant Township.

The Rev. Ronald Spears officiated and Leona Berns was organist. A men's quartet sang "What a Friend We Have in Jesus" and "Rock of Ages." Pallbearers were Elmer Janssen, Dale Janssen, Raymond Hike, Vernon Peters, Leonard Sturm and Wilfred Irimeier.

Burial was at 3 p.m. Saturday in Westland Cemetery, Glidden, following the arrival of a grandson who is stationed in the Air Force in Panama. Arrangements were in charge of the Huffman Funeral Home, Carroll.
