Mass of the Christian burial for Loretta M. Cochran, 83, of San Diego, Calif., and formerly of Carroll, will be celebrated Friday, April 14, at Holy Spirit Church in Carroll.

Mrs. Cochran died Saturday, April 8, at her home in San Diego. She was a widow of Dr. J. Lawrence Cochran who practiced in Carroll and she helped operate their clinic here.

The Rev. Michael Wagner will celebrate the Mass.

Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Carroll.

Casket bearers will be James Millenacker, Merle Finegan, Mike Wittrock Jr., Matt Neppel, Leo Clark and Ed Brincks.

The St. Anthony Nurses Alumnae Association will provide an honor guard.

Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday at Twit Funeral Home in Carroll. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Born June 1, 1905, in Arcadia, Mrs. Cochran was a daughter of Henry and Anna (Huelshorst) Millenacker. On March 2, 1940, she married Dr. J. Lawrence Cochran at the Naval Chapel in Pensacola, Fla.

She was a registered nurse and lab technician, helping her husband operate their clinic in Carroll. She also was a volunteer at the hospital in Carroll.

She was a CCD instructor and worked in the visiting nursing program in San Diego.

She was a charter member of the Toastmistresses and also was a member of Holy Spirit Parish in San Diego and the Ladies Auxiliary.

Mrs. Cochran is survived by one son, Joseph, of El Cajon, Calif.; two daughters, Clara Carlstrom of San Diego, Calif., and Mary Ann (Mrs. Bob) Clements of Chula Vista, Calif.; two sisters, Mary Millenacker and Laura Millenacker, both of San Diego; a sister-in-law, Josephine (Mrs. Walter) Millenacker of Carroll; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, in 1958; two brothers, Leo and Walter Millancker; and two sisters, Clara Meiser and Hilda Millenacker.
