Hilda Alvina Sissel, 91, of Trinity Center at Luther Park died of complications of Alzheimer's disease there Sunday. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Carroll, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Merle Hay Memorial Cemetery in Glidden.

Mrs. Sissel was born in Lanesboro and had lived in the Carroll County area before moving to Des Moines. She was retired from Mr. D's Restaurant in Glidden and was a member of Ladies Circle with her church. She enjoyed cooking, baking and quilting.

She is survived by a son, Dennis of Clear Lake; a daughter, Elaine Mueller of Des Moines; a sister, Edna Berns of Lanesboro; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond "Dale."

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home in Glidden. Memorial contributions may be made to Lutheran Care Services or her church.
