April 4, 1900 - Carroll Herald - Thomas Willey, one of the oldest settlers of Pleaaant Valley township, died last week at his home in Mississippi. His son Edwin has gone south and will probably have the remains brought back for burial. His children are Mrs. Sylvester, Mrs. Harry Armstrong and Edwin Willey. He was an honorable man and an excellent citizen and neighbor.

Note: Thomas was buried in the Holly Bush Cemetery, Rankin County, Mississippi
