04 Dec 1899 - Carroll Sentinel - The funeral of Timothy Bohan was held last Friday morning at St. Joseph's church, Very Rev. Father O'Connor officiating and a large number being present in spite of the inclement weather, to pay their last respects to the memory of the deceased.

Timothy Bohan was born in Ireland seventy-five years ago, came to this county before the war and enlisted in 1862 in the Third Wisconsin cavalry. He served three years and until the close of the war and received an honorable discharge September 8, 1865.

He was married in 1874 in Chicago to Hannah Babington, who survives him. One child was born of this union, Mamie, who grew to womanhood and died about a year ago at the age of twenty-three.

In 1881 the family moved to this county, going to live with Mrs. Bohan's brother, James Babington, in Arcadia township. That same spring Mr. Bohan was afflicted with a stroke of paralysis, from which he never recovered, and for eighteen years he had been an invalid, requiring constant attendance and being helpless a great portion of the time. A few years ago he was granted a pension of $12 a month, which was barely sufficient to pay for attendance. Throughout all the years of suffering he bore himself with Christian fortitude and died in the Christian faith.
