Sept 15, 1921 - Carroll Times - John Bielmaier, one of the pioneer settlers of Carroll county, died at his home in the Fourth ward Wednesday afternoon of last week after being in a serious condition for the last five weeks.

He was born in Germany February 29 1835, and was married 54 years ago to Miss Frances Sturm, also of Germany. They came to America with their family in 1883, locating first in Texas. After a residence of three months in that state, they moved to Carroll county, where he has since made his home. Fifteen years ago Mr. Bielmaier retired from farm work and moved to his present home in this city.

Mrs. Bielmaier died six years ago. Mr. Bielmaier is survived by the following children: Mike Bielmaier and Joe Bielmaier, of Wall, S.D.; Mrs. Richard Kenrthke, of Stillwater, Okla.; Mrs. L.J. Stebbins, of North Platte, Neb.; Mrs. Alfred Leopard, of Davenport, Ia.; Mrs. Mull J. Schumacher, of Pleasant Valley township, and Miss Anna Bielmaier, of Carroll. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at S.S. Peter and Paul's church.
