Jan 5, 1892 - Carroll Sentinel - Little Johnnie Hess, eldest son of J.P. Hess, died Monday night of a combination of diseases. He has never been altogether well since he had the diphtheria a couple of months ago. He was about 10 years old and his death will be a sad blow to his loving parents. The funeral will held tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock from St. Peter and Paul's church.
