Nov 5, 1906 - CARROLL — Iowa Evening Press — Mrs. William Gilley, prominent in church circles, died suddenly at midnight last evening. She retired in apparent good health, having attended a Halloween party with her husband but a few hours previous. She was seventy-one years old and came to Carroll county when the Indians roved that section of the State.

Nov 15, 1906 - Milford, Iowa - News came to Milford last week of the death of Mrs Wm Gilley at her home Sunday morning, Nov 4th. Mrs Gilley is well known in Milford for having her summer home for several years past at Gilleys beach on West Okoboji Lake.

Nov 15, 1906 - Carroll - Ira M. Gilley and wife and daughter returned to their home at Grinnell Monday. They were accompanied by Wm. Gilley, who will remain for a prolonged visit.
