Oct 12, 1970 - Carroll Daily Times - Funeral services for Albert Toby Janssen, 71, of 826 North West Street, Carroll, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Timothy Koenig officiating. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. Friends may call at the Dahn-Woodhouse Funeral Home in Carroll until 9 a.m. Tuesday, at which time the casket will be taken to the church for viewing until the hour of services.

Mr. Janssen died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 10, at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, Minn., where he had been a patient for seven weeks. He was a retired farmer and a locksmith. A son of Henry and Louisa Kuschel Janssen, he was born at Carroll June 16, 1899. His marriage to Lillian Beidler took place at Lidderdale, March 2, 1922. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, a member of Associated Locksmiths, and past president of the Carroll County Wildlife Conservation League.

Surviving with his wife, Lillian, are two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Norma Jean) Berts of Carroll and Mrs. Jerry (Marlou) Bitcon, San Jose, Calif.; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Carl (Anna) Kraemer, Watseka, Illinois, and Mrs. Elmer (Carrie) Onken, Carroll; and an aunt, Mrs. Anna Berger, Carroll.

Mr. Janssen was preceded in death by a son, Wayne Louis, at the age of 1 1/2 years; two grandsons, Timothy Bitcon and Sidney Berns; and an infant brother.
