April 14, 1950 - Carroll Daily Times Herald P2 - Funeral services for Mrs. Martin Timmerman, 70, who died Monday, will be conducted at the St. Francis church, Maple River, at 10 a.m. Thursday with the Rev. Fr. P.M. Mattes officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. The rosary will be recited Tuesday and Wednesday at 8 p. m. at the Sharp Funeral home In Carroll. Catholic Daughters of America will recite the rosary Wednesday night.

Born July 14, 1879, in Maple River township, Mrs Timmerman was the daughter of the late Clem and Mary Budden. She was married January 8, 1901 and the couple has lived on a farm three and one-half miles west of Carroll on old Highway 30 since their marriage. She was a member of St. Francis church, and the Christian Mothers sodality and the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include her husband; seven children, Mrs. John (Coletta) Pottebaum, Carroll; Anna, at home; Edward, Carroll; William, Carroll; Louis, Auburn; Clem, Fonda; Mrs. Leo (Bernadine) Tegels, Omaha; three sisters, Mrs. Louis Baumhover, Carroll; Mrs. Frances Feld, Carroll, and Mrs. Al Schachtner, Adaza; and 31 grandchildren. Three children died in infancy.
