July 3, 1987 - Carroll Daily Times - Earl Lasher, 79, of Lake City died Thursday morning, July 2, at Lutheran Hospital in Des Moines. Services will be held Sunday, July 5, 1 p.m. at the Woodlawn Christian Church in Lake City, with the Rev. Duane O'Tool officiating. Burial will be in the East Liberty Cemetery, south of Lake City. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, at Huffman Memorial Chapel in Lake City. Visitation will be held Saturday after 10 a.m.

Mr. Lasher is survived by his wife, Doris; two daughters, Mrs. Willis (Janene) Shuey of Leadville, Colo., and Mrs. Roger (Marlene) Glasnapp of Lytton; a son, Lonnie Lasher of Lake City; a brother, Dan Lasher of Lanesboro; a sister, Mrs. Dale (Ruth) Hobbs of Mound City, Kan.; 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons in infancy, Delwin and Larry; a sister, Mrs. Clare (Alice) McIntire, and a grandson, Michael.

Mr. Lasher was born on Jan. 19, 1908, in Carroll County, the son of Daniel and Nellie (Figert) Lasher. On March 16, 1929, he married Doris Pollock. They farmed in the Lake City area most of their lives. They moved to Lake City in 1965.
