Sept 18, 2000 - Carroll Daily Times - Lake City — Funeral service for Maude Hines of Lake City will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2000, at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City. Mrs. Hines, 104, died Friday, Sept. 15, at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City. The Rev. Erland Asmus will officiate the service. Burial will be in East Liberty Cemetery at Lidderdale. Visitation started this afternoon and the family will be present from 5 to 7 tonight at Lampe Funeral Home in Lake City.

Born April 8, 1896, at Lidderdale, she was a daughter of Frank and Cora (Watters) Stoolman. She was married to Adam Welch and Glenn "Pick" Hines. Mrs. Hines worked at several restaurants and nursing homes in Lake City.

Survivors include a daughter, Lavon "Bonnie" Brainard, of Lake City; a stepdaughter, Maxine Visner, of Lake City; a son, Estel Welch, of Macksburg; four grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and three step great grandchildren.

Mrs. Hines was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; five sisters; Mary, Alice, Thelma, Fern, and Fanny; and three brothers: Jay, Earl and Charles Stoolman.
