Mrs. John Stammeyer Dies at the Hospital at Clarinda.

The sad news arrived yesterday of the death of Mrs. John Stammeyer at the hospital at Clarinda, where she had been for the benefit of her health. The remains will be shipped from there tonight and the funeral will be held at SS. Peter and Paul's church Wednesday morning at 9:30.

Deceased was born Anna Schmidt, in Illinois forty-two years ago. She came to this county with her parents in 1876. In 1886 she was married to John Stammeyer and of this union five children resulted, three girls and two boys. For the past four years she had been in poor health, much of the time being at the Clarinda hospital in the hope of bettering her physical condition. She was a devoted wife and mother, her family being the pride and joy of her heart. The little ones and their father, thus bereft of the tender ministrations of their best friend on earth, have the heartfelt sympathy of their friends in their sad affliction.
