Mary A. England Goes To Her Reward

Funeral Held at Methodist Church Friday Afternoon -- Burial in Carroll Cemetery.

Mary A. England passed away at the home of her brother, J. U. England, Tuesday, November 24, 1924, after a lingering illness. While her death was unexpected at this time, it was known that at best she could be spared here only a few months.

Mary England was the daughter of John M. England and Arminda P. England, now deceased, and was born in Logan county, Illinois, November 21, 1862. She moved with her mother and brothers to this county in March, 1883, where she resided until her death. She was unmarried and lived with her mother in Maple River for 25 years. Since the death of her mother in 1917, she made her home with her brother, J. U. England, living northwest of Carroll.

In early life she united with the M. E. church in Illinois. She had membership with the Beulah Methodist church and later with the Carroll Methodist church.

She is survived by a half-sister, Mrs. A. A. Rainey of Fairfield, Neb., and two brothers, J. J. England of Omaha, and J. U. England of this county.

Funeral services were held in the Methodist church Friday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Elias Handy. Interment was made in the Carroll cemetery.

In the passing of this noble woman countless friends mourn her departure.
