Death of A. L. Brigham.

A. L. Brigham, a patient suffering of Bright's disease died at his home Sunday evening at 11:30. Mr. Brigham has suffered from this disease for a long time and every thing known to medical skill has been resorted to, hoping to find relief. About the first of last June he was compelled to quit work and the greater portion of the time has been confined to his bed. Last fall he went to Hot Springs, Arkansas, thinking that he might be benefited by the baths and the change of climate. After his return it was hoped by his friends that he had gained some permanent relief, but time soon proved this to be only a false hope and from that time on the disease has been gradually though insidiously exerting its supremacy over the vital forces of nature. Sunday afternoon he was feeling some better than he had for several days past and called for some beef (?) and after taking it remarked that it had the old time taste to it. No uneasiness of immediate dissolution was felt on the part of his faithful wife until within a few moments of his death. The disease seemed to change all at once and in a moment the weary and patient sufferer was at rest. Mrs. Brigham has the sympathy of the entire community in this sad hour of her misfortune. Her trials have been heavy and hard to bear during her husbands' sickness, but she has born them with fortitude and loving care that has enlisted the sympathy of all who have shared in her cares. The funeral will be held tomorrow -- Tuesday -- afternoon at 4 o'clock.
