CATHERINE REILING

Mass of the Christian burial for Catherine Reiling will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 1, 1999, at St. Mary Catholic Church in Auburn.

Mrs. Reiling, 97, of Auburn, died Wednesday, April 28,1999, at Carroll Health Center nursing home in Carroll.

Celebrant at the Mass will be the Rev. Mark Harrington. Lector will be Art Renzc. Mass servers will be Marty Danner and Nick Reiling. Gift bearers will he Dianne Danner, Sheila O'Tool and Mary Renze. Eucharistic minister will be Vicki Reiling.

Casket bearers will be Duane Reiling, Dale Reiling, Daryl Reiling, Delmar Reiling, Dean Reiling, Doug Reiling and Larry Reiling.

Burial will be at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Cemetery in Mount Carmel.

Visitation will begin at 2:30 p.m. Friday, April 30, at Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll. Rosary by St. Mary Altar Society will be recited at 3 p.m. and there will be a Christian wake service at 7:30 p.m, Friday at the funeral home.

A daughter,of Charles and Helena (Kries) Daniel, she was born Jan. 26, 1902, at Carroll. She spent her younger years and was educated in Carroll.

She and Frank S. Reiling were married on Feb. 19, 1924 at SS. Peter and Paul Church in Carroll.

The couple farmed near Maple River and Ulmer, before moving in 1944 to the family farm west of Al's Corner, north of Carroll. They moved to Auburn in 1952, where Mrs. Reiling lived until moving to Carroll Health Center in October 1994.

She was a member of St. Mary Parish and its Altar Society.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Donald and Donna Mae Reiling of Auburn and Frank and Grace Reiling of Council Bluffs; 10 grandchildren , 21 greatgranchildrcn; three sisters, Susan Reiff of Carroll, Margaret Weber of Carroll and Rose Kasperbauer of Harlan; and a sister-in-law, Caroline Daniel of Carroll.

Mrs. Reiling was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, in 1961; her parents; a greatgrandchild, Kevin O'Tool; a sister, Leona Kirsch; and five brothers, Nick, Leonard, Vincent, Walter and Edward Daniel.
