Gone to Eternal Rest.

Mrs. Herman Zurmahr died at her home on Monday evening of the ailments incident to old age, after a short illness. For the past year she had gradually began losing control of her mental faculties, but she had been in good health until a few weeks ago when it was noticed she was gradually failing. For the past two days she had been very low and it was seen that the end was not far off. She lingered until Monday evening about 10:30 when she breathed her last.

Deceased, whose maiden name was Anna Heinrichs, was born in Kleingladbach, Germany on the last day of June, 1839. On the 28th day of October, 1861, she was united in marriage to Herman Zurmahr. The result of their union was seven children, three of whom died. Two girls, Agnes and Katherine, died in Germany, and a son, Godfrey, died here on March 4, 1902. A son and three daughters, all residing here, survive her. On the 2nd day of March, 1884, they emigrated to this country and located here, where they have resided ever since. Besides the husband and four children, she leaves a brother, Jacob Heinrichs, residing here, and two brothers and five sisters, residing in Germany to mourn her demise.

Deceased was a devout Christian mother, devoted to her home and family, and was esteemed by all who knew her. She was ever ready to extend the helping hand to those in distress and that she was losing the control of her mental faculties in the declining years of her life, was indeed a sad affliction. But she has gone to a better place.

The funeral services were held this morning at the Catholic church and after a solemn requiem mass the remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery. The grief-stricken husband and children have the sincere sympathy of all in the loss of the wife and mother.

May she rest in peace.
