Obituary Francis O'Toole

Francis O'Toole died at his home, northeast of town, early last Friday morning aged 70 years. Although he had been ailing for some time, it was not thought that he was dangerously ill and his sudden death was a shock to the community in general.

The O'Toole family have certainly had their share of misfortune in the past ten months. Last February a son, Barney, died from consumption. Then on September 27, a daughter Mrs. John Coon, died and on the afternoon of the day she was buried, the mother passed away. And now the father has answered the final summons.

Deceased was born in County Down township of Bellentage, Ireland, on Christmas day in 1837. At the age of 19 he was united in marriage to Rosa Brown and the same year they emigrated to this country and located in Wisconsin. In the year 1868 they moved to Clinton county, Iowa, where they resided 5 years and moved to Sac twp., Sac county and settled on a farm northeast of Breda, where they have resided ever since.

Deceased was the father of thirteen children, one of whom died in infancy and two during the past year. Ten children, one daughter and nine boys, are left to mourn his demise. He is also survived by a brother, Mike, of this place. -- Breda Watchman.
