Caspar Henry Wessling, brother of Ben and Joe Wessling, died at the home of his brother, Ben, Monday afternoon at 3 o'clock, aged 75 years. The funeral occurred Wednesday morning and after a solemn requiem mass the remains were interred in the Catholic cemetery. Deceased was born in Amt Dosfeldt, Regierungs Bezirk Munster, Preisen, on the 7th day of December, 1825, and was one of the pioneer settlers of this country. In 1872 he emigrated to America and located at Dyersville, Dubuque county, Iowa, where he remained until 1873 and then moved to Carroll county and settled on a farm near Breda where he has resided ever since. Deceased had been paralyzed for the past three years and was unable to move about. He was unmarried and leaves two brothers to mourn his departure from this world.
