Funeral services for James F. Prendergast of Omaha, were held at St. John's church Monday morning, Father Berger officiating. Mr. Prendergast will be remembered here as one of Arcadia's earliest settlers, although for the past 35 years he has resided in Omaha. Mr. Prendergast was born on Prince Edward's Island, Canada, but spent most of his life in Iowa and lived to the ripe old age of 90 years. Two daughters, Ellen and Marie Prendergast, and one son, Dr. J. F. Prendergast of Steinauer, Neb., survive him. Interment was made in the Catholic cemetery.
