WOMAN ENDS LIFE AFTER KILLING HUSBAND

CARROLL, Ia.--Mrs. Edward Heist, 50, Glidden, Ia., farm woman, died today from gun shot wounds self inflicted after she had killed her husband and beaten a niece, Mrs. Mildred Taylor Hynes, 35, of Omaha, Neb. Mrs. Hynes' condition is reported good. Mrs. Heist had been ill four months as a result of a nervous breakdown. She left a note asking God to "Pity my blind mind." She first beat Mrs. Hynes on the head in the basement of her farm home. Mrs. Hynes escaped and Heist went to see what was wrong. He was met with a shotgun blast. Heist staggered outside and fell dead. Mrs. Heist then went into a bedroom and shot herself.
