WILLIAM REINEKE

Funeral services will be at 9:30 Friday morning at SS. Peter and Paul Church for William Reineke, 76, retired farmer, who died at his home, 115 South Main Street, at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday. Requiem mass will be offered by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Frank H. Greteman. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

The body is resting at the Twit Funeral Home, where the rosary will be prayed at 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 8:00 p.m. Thursday. Msgr. Greteman will lead the recitation Thursday evening.

Mr. Reineke had been ill since October 18, 1956. A lifelong resident of Carroll County, he was born on a Pleasant Valley Township farm three and one-half miles south of Carroll, August 7, 1880. His parents were John and Mary Spieker Reineke.

He attended SS. Peter and Paul’s School here.

Mr. Reineke was married to Mary Brincks Jan. 26, 1909. They farmed three miles south of Carroll for one year, spent the next 10 years on a farm three miles southeast of Dedham and then 28 years on a farm three miles south and one mile east of Carroll.

Retiring in 1948, Mr. and Mrs. Reineke moved into their present home at that time.

Mr. Reineke is survived by his wife; six children: Cecilia Reineke, at home; Henry and Edward Reineke, Carroll; William J. Reineke, Breda; Clarence Reineke, Carroll; and Mrs. Richard (Marie) Nieland, Fonda; 13 grandchildren; one brother, Joe Reineke, Randolph, Neb.; and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Schmitt, Carroll; Mrs. Mary Eltgroth, West Union, Minn.; Mrs. Mollie Brincks and Mrs. John B. Brincks, Carroll. A daughter, Julitta, died at the age of three years.

Mr. Reineke was a member of SS. Peter and Paul’s Church.
