Mrs John Knobbee Passes Away
Called to Answer Final Summons After Two Months of Suffering From Gall Trouble
Live Her(sic) Past 45 Years

Mrs John R. Knobbe passed away at her home in Breda Monday, April 4, 1921, at 1:00 pm following a two months' illness from an affection of the gall bladder and other complications. She had been ill at various times previous but her last illness came upon her in more serious form. She bore her suffering bravely and never complained although her pain was intense, and passed away quietly to answer the call of her redeemer surrounded by her husband and children.
Mary Anna Olerich was born at Hazelgreen, Wis., on November 29, 1856, and at the time of her death was 64 years, 4 months, and 6 days old. September 20, 1875 she was united in marriage to John Knobbe at Mt Carmel. They then moved to a farm near Mt Carmel where they resided for 10 years. In 1885 they moved to Breda to make their home and since that time she has been a resident here.
Mrs Knobbe was the mother of six children, five of whom survive with her husband, who are Mrs P.T. Hinners of Breda, Mrs D.S. Miller of Drummond, Wis, Sr M. Philippine of Edgar, Wis, Frank who resides at home, and Clarence of Des Moines. One daughter, Anna, preceded her in death in August 1919. Besides her husband and family she leaves to mourn her death her mother, Mrs Elizabeth Olerich of Tama, and two sisters, Mrs F.A. Dulybon of Tama, and Mrs George Puth of Princeton, Minnesota.
Mrs Knobbe was a lady of exceptionally pleasant disposition and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. She was a kind wife and loving mother and her passing will be greatly mounrned by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at St. Bernard's Church this morning at 9:30 o'clock and were largely attended. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.
