On the 1901 platt map, it labels an 80 acre farm as August Deimel estate. This is 1 mile east of Knierim.
From the 1920 census we find
Max age 29 born Germany Immigrated 1882, is Proprietor of Meat market-in Lincon Township

wife Anna is 27 born Iowa
son Wayne is 12 and was born in California

also 1920 census in Greenfield Township
August is 34
wife Mary is 22
Daughter Vera is 3 1/2

A Carl Deimel and his wife were early members of the Lutheran Church 1 mile north of Knierim.
