My long lost great aunt, Nettie Wenzel Graumann Ulrich was remanded to the Women's Reformatory at Rockwell City in 1928 for a term of 8 years. She was released at some point and then in 1952 surfaced again at her sister's, my grandmother's, funeral in Sioux City. The obituary simply states that the sister (un-named) was from Cedar Rapids. I have exhausted all leads in Lynn County and given that folklore maintains that Nettie was occasionally somewhat loose with the truth, assume that she may have not strayed far from Rockwell City. Iowa state does not maintain records of prisoners from that era or records of parolees. Looking for any information concerning my g-aunt to complete a family history. I was raised as an orphan and am looking for family facts.
