Obituary
Werne Edward Fellwock died early Sunday morning at the Lutheran hospital in Des Moines. Death was due to bone infection developing from sinus trouble. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. from the American Lutheran Church in Lytton, with the Rev. H. C. Gold officiating. Burial was made in the north Lutheran Cemetery. Pallbearers: Ernest Lange, Arthur Helmbrecht, Alphus Meyer, Gustav Hamister, Frank Nuehring, and Otto Dierson. Songs were by the church choir, “We’re Going Down the Valley,” and “There’s No Disappointment in Heaven.” Memorial wreaths were dedicated to his memory. Werne Edward Fellwock was born May 3, 1906 in Calhoun County, near Lytton, and was baptized by the Rev. Wunderlich May 27, 1906. He then moved with his parents to a farm near Albert City. His father and mother both preceded him in death a few years ago, leaving him alone to join them now, closing the chapter of another family. He came to Lytton last year to work and was a quiet boy and a good worker. He made his home in the home of his aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. August Nuehring, until the past two months when he has been in the hospital. During his stay there he submitted to three operations. He leaves to mourn his death his aunts and uncles of this vicinity, Mr. and Mrs. August Neuhring, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haffner, Mr. and Mrs. George Fellwock, Mr. and Mrs. William Bartels, Mrs. August Bruecker, Ernest and Charles Kolb and Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Bartels, a host of cousins and many friends.
