James Griffith Jr.
(September 17, 1871 – March 23, 1935)

Obituary
James Griffith Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Griffith, was born in Grundy Center, Ia., Sept. 17, 1871, and died at his home in Rockwell City, Ia., Mar. 23, 1935, at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 6 days. After an illness of some seven months during which he was taken to a hospital twice, the last time for an operation, being returned to his home about three weeks before his death. When he was 10 years of age he moved with his parents to Rockwell City where he grew to manhood and spent the rest of his life in this community. He was married to Miss Clara Mae Lister in 1902. To this union was born one son, Victor. In the year 1904 he was married to Miss Margaret Blades. To this union was born five children, Mrs. V. C. White, William, Mrs. H. C. Shaw, George, and Dora, all of whom reside in or near Rockwell City. He was a devoted husband and father. He leaves to mourn his departure a host of friends besides one brother, A. G. Griffith, and four sisters, Mrs. Lydia Little of Madison, Wis., Mrs. James Gifford of Altoona, Ia., Mrs. Walter Archer and Mrs. Jenny Jones of Rockwell City.
