Dr. John Franklin Hull
(November 22, 1874 – June 12, 1946)Former Local Physician Dies in California
Dr. John Franklin Hull, a practicing physician and surgeon of Alhambra, Calif., died Wednesday afternoon, June 12, at his home, 26 North Granada Avenue, that city. Death was attributed to a heart ailment. Dr. Hull, a native of Keota, Iowa and a graduate of the University of Iowa, practiced in Lake City before going to California about 30 years ago. He was on the staff of the Alhambra and Garfield Hospitals and was a member of the Los Angeles County Medical Association and the Alhambra Kiwanis Club. He was a captain in the Medical Corps during the First World War. Dr. Hull is survived by his wife, Edna L. Hull; a daughter, Joann Lee, and two sons, David L. and Gary F., all of Alhambra; a daughter and two sons by a former marriage, Alma Marion Hull of Hawaii, John C. and Lt. Donald B. Hull, U.S. N. of Alhambra; a grandson, Thomas Hull; two sisters, Miss Mary Hull and Mrs. Sylvia A. Boone of Iowa City, Ia., and two brothers, Robert of Iowa City and Roy of Chicago.
