Chantel Marie Stuart
(May 7, 1984 - January 9, 2024)

Chantel (Coulter) Stuart, age 39, of Pomeroy, IA passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. After a lengthy cancer diagnosis, she earned her eternal resting place with her precious Lord and Savior.
Upon being diagnosed with cancer almost 7 years ago, she was defiant to make memories with her family, fight courageously and never give up. Her bravery was admirable and her impact to those around her was monumental as she never complained and always maintained her sense of humor. Through her entire life, she was devoted to her faith and ensured those around her were softened with her love to understand the power of prayer and her God in heaven. Chantel entered this world on May 7, 1984 in Harlan, IA. As Brad and Linda’s baby girl, her childhood was filled with sisterly love to Larissa. As a young child, Chantel lived in Guthrie Center, IA before moving to Wayne, NE in 1989. In 1997 her family relocated to LeMars, IA. While in high school Chantel enjoyed being a part of choir, Crimson & Black and flag core. She graduated from LeMars Community High School in 2002. After high school she attended Iowa Lakes Community College in Estherville, IA to pursue a degree in early childhood education. She graduated with her Associate of Science degree in 2004. Following Iowa Lakes she attended Hamilton College in Cedar Rapids for para-legal. After realizing she didn’t belong behind a desk, she pursued her lifelong dream of becoming a cosmetologist. She graduated from La’ James International College in 2006. She worked in Manson, IA at His-N-Hers salon until 2008 when she opened her own salon in Pomeroy, IA. Owning Shear Excitement, now Bliss Salon, was her greatest accomplishment next to being a mother. Chantel could make any room light up with her beauty and sparkles and she made a career out of making others shine their brightest and feel their best. Even on her hardest days, she looked like a million bucks as she would say, “look good, feel good.” Chantel married her one true love, Kevin Stuart, on December 2, 2006. To this union 3 children were born. Bailey (14), Bryce (12) and Halle (9). Nothing gave her greater joy or made her prouder than being a mother to her beautiful babies. Chantel was born to be a mother and was often referred to as the “baby whisperer”. Her motherly love shined through to her own children as well as her youth group she led and treated like her own. She loved hard and taught these kids the power of God. Chantel could crack a somber room of silence with her one-liners and had a way of always making others feel so special. Her fight was admirable, but her love for those she loved was felt by all. Chantel’s greatest days were those spent with her family and days when she was able to be on or by the water. We are at peace knowing she was welcomed to heaven’s gate by her dad, Brad Coulter and many other angels to spread her wings with. Craig Stuart, Howard and Mary Ann (Manders) Mathiasen, Verdell Hess, Vern and Lois Coulter. Left to cherish her precious memories are her husband, Kevin of Pomeroy; children, Bailey, Bryce and Halle of Pomeroy; mother, Linda Hess Coulter of LeMars; sister, Larissa (Brent) Kommes of Elk Point, SD (Sailor and Slade); mother-in-law, Kely Stuart of Pomeroy; brothers-in-law, Marshal (Sherri) Stuart of Knoke (Samantha, Sydney, Maddox), Kyle Stuart (Courtney, Whitney) of Ankeny and Adam (Shalee) Stuart (Lyla, Brooks, Blair) of Pomeroy, and several aunCopyright Lampe & Powers Funeral Home, (712) 464-7665, https://www.powersfh.netts, uncles and numerous friends.
