Manson, Ia, Sept. 4-
Henry Block, living ten miles northeast of Manson, was struck and instantly killed by lightning at his home. Mr. Block was 61 years of age and was born in Germany and came to Illinois before the war. He enlisted and served three years until discharged. He came to Iowa twenty-one years ago.
He was a man of excellent character, a member of Lizard German Lutheran church, and was the owner of several fine farms. He leaves a wife and nine children, with a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn his sudden death.
