Ralph Wilham Copper
Our people were greatly shocked by the announcement of the death of Ralph Copper, which occurred at his home Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock. Many did not even know that he was sick and those who did were entirely unprepared for the news of his death. He was taken sick last Thursday evening with a pain in his side where he had been hit with a base ball several days before. He grew steadily worse and physicians were called Friday, (next part missing)

The funeral was held this afternoon at the L. W. Johnson home, Rev. Geo. A. Bale having charge of the services. A large crowd of sorrowing friends and relatives were in attendance. The Oddfellows, of which order Ralph was a member, attended in a body and a large procession followed the remains to their last resting place in Rose Hill cemetery.

The heartfelt sympathy of the entire town goes out to the bereaved young wife and little daughter, and to the heart broken father and mother who are now left childless and alone.
Advocate.
