Parmelia Ellis Bosley
Lake City Graphic, June 1, 1899

Parmelia Ellis Bosley was born in Lake County Ohio, in 1832, and died May 29th, 1899. She united with the Christian (not Disciple) church in 1851, and was a member at the time of her death. In 1844 she with her parents moved to Michigan. She was married to Hiram Bosley in 1849, and to this union was born 9 children, five boys and four girls. Two boys and two girls have passed on before. Sister Bosley with her family came to Lake City in 1866, where they resided till the death of Mr. Bosley March 14, 1889. Since then Sister Bosley has been among us. In all her suffering she never once complained, but expressed her resignation to the will of her heavenly Father. The funeral services were held in the United Brethren church, conducted by her pastor, E. E. Bennet, assisted by Rev. Hicks of the U. B. church. The remains were then laid to rest in the Lake City cemetery.
