Rieka Eichelberger, 76, of Manson, died Friday, January 26, 2001 at Villa Cottages in Fort Dodge.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 2, at St. John Lutheran Church, Lizard Township, rural Palmer, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery, Manson.

Casketbearers were Gary Eichelberger, Gary Woolery, Donald Poppen, Brian Reese, Jeff Nahnsen and Phil Johannes.

Survivors include her husband, Glen; daughter, Zelda Chellgren, Dallas, Texas; sons, Dennis, Dallas, Texas, and Randy, Manson; three grandchildren; brother, Henry Dornath, Manson; and sisters, Elnora Sandvig, Rolfe, Edna Eichelberger and Marlys Litwilier, both of Manson, Lois Woolery, Webster City, and Charlene Nahnsen, Moorland. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma Ihnen Dornath; sisters, Minnie Zimmerman and Tena Niemand; and brothers, Jasper and Louis Dornath.

Rieka Johanna Dornath was born December 4, 1924, in Pocahontas County, where she received her education in rural schools. She married Glen Eichelberger in 1947, in Fort Dodge. The couple farmed northeast of Manson until 1993, when they moved into Manson.
