Obituary
Harrison – J.H. was born in Maryland, July 30, 1814, moved to Ohio when but nine years old. He was converted at the age of eighteen and united with the M. E. church. He was married to Eliza J. White, March 13, 1834 and to this union were born four children, only one boy survives who lives in Idaho. He moved to Washington county, Iowa, April 1, 1871 and has been a resident of the state ever since. About eighteen years ago he united with the U. B. church and was a faithful earnest member. Death occurred at his grandsons’s, John Walker, in Lake City, July 8, 1899. Rev. H. G. Hicks conducted a short service at the house, assisted by Rev. E. E. Bennett, and the remains were taken to Washington county for interment. It could be of him as it was of Barnabas, “He was a man full of faith and the Holy Ghost.
