Ruth Combes Lish, 95, of Merced, died Wednesday [January 22, 1992].

Services: Funeral 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Colonial Chapel of Franklin & Downs. Services conclude at the chapel. Visitation after 10 a.m. Saturday at the chapel.

Background: Native of State Center, Iowa. Lived in Modesto 39 years and in Merced the past three years. Homemaker. Member United Methodist Church and Rebekah Lodge, Iowa.

Survivors: Husband, Horace A. Lish of Utah. Four children, Max E. Smith of [Eugene] Oregon, L. Wayne Smith of Grass Valley [Arizona], Glenn Smith of [Pekin] Illinois and Helen Sparks of Merced. Eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
