Francis (Lloyd) Hyland, 64, of Lake City died Friday, February 10, 1984 at Stewart Memorial Community Hospital.

Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, at St. Lawrence Church in Carroll with the Rev. Lawrence McCarty as celebrant. Burial was in the Carroll cemetery. Rosaries were recited at 3, 7, and 8 p.m. Sunday at the Twit Funeral Home.

Serving as casket bearers were Pete Parks, Pat Hyland, Virgil Hyland, Dick Hyland, Chris Hyland, Larry Schwenk and Jim Hyland.

Francis Hyland, son of James E. and Nellie Mae Sayre Hyland, was born May 30, 1919 in Greene county. He graduated from Churdan high school in 1937. He was married to Daisy E. Olerich on October 20, 1955 at Blair, Nebraska. He was associated with the Gowrie Coop Creamery and with the Hyland Oil Company in Carroll for 20 years.

Mr. Hyland is survived by his wife, Daisy of Lake City; a son, James B. Hyland of Lake City; a stepson, Ronald Olerich of Denver, Colorado; a stepdaughter.. Note: The newspaper clipping has been cut off.
