Lyman P. Doty, on Friday the 17th of May, aged 29 years 2 months and 19 days.

Mr. Doty had been the victim of consumption since last autumn, prior to that time he was a young man of rigid constitution with no evidence of weakness or disease, and with an energy that used all his strength in active labor. He was working with the view of securing a home comfortable and pleasant for his young family, and when the object of his ambition was within sight he discovered the fatal disease feeding on his system, every effort was put forth to throw it off but of now avail. The funeral services were conducted at their home onSabbath May 19th by Rev. Stophlet, and a large procession followed his remains to the grave in the Lake City cemetery. He leaves a young ride and two children to whom the community express the deepest sympathy in their bereavement.
