In doing a search on my uncle Charles (Cloukey), I came across the thread. My grandfather was Homer Cloukey. My great-grandmother (Homer's mother) was Helen Esther Mather. I have been able to trace the Mather part of the family back to 1500, however, I have lost many of the Cloukey connections! We were told that Uncle Charles caught an illness after using a public pool, but his obituary listed it, I believe as an illness. Charles won one of the Thomas Edison awards (48 states plus D.C. so, 98 given in the two years before Edison died) for science for the state of PA. I was Homer's only grand-daughter and my brother was the only grand-son. I would LOVE any photographs, and would be happy to communicate more. (I took the Mather name after divorce). Carol Mather
