Hi,

I never knew Walter Heine(johnes) but my wife did. She always said he and his wife were two of thenicest ppeople she ever knew. Everyone wanted to go to their house on holloween. Walter's adopted ancestors still live here. I believe the story is that Walter was dropped off at Vinton, Iowa first, but couldn't get along with the family there and then was taken to Butler County where the Heine's adopted him. There has been some material published by the Orphan train society about him.
