William J. O'BRIEN was born in Limerick County, Ireland January 1827 - Came to America 1846,- Married, Anna Currie Pratt in New York 1851 -
They had two children in NY - Mary Ann O'Brien,
b.August 1852 & Hanora A. "Nora" O'Brien,b.1855 -
Moved to Fond du Lac, Wisc.and had five more
children there: Bridget Delia b,1857 / John Wm.,b.
1858 / Lucy Ann, b. 1861 / Elizabeth A. "Libby",
b. 1865 / Alice,b. 1867 -
Moved to Dayton Twp.,Butler co., Iowa and farmed there from 1868 to 1896 - spent the last ten years of his life in Emmetsburg, Palo Alto, co., Iowa - Died there and was brought back to Dayton
for burial in Nettleton Cemetery -
