William Stewart died in Shell Rock 1893

Trying to locate information on William's date of birth and his parents. This is what I have so far:

William H(?) Stewart
b. 1846 or 1853 in IL (1880 census record says 34yrs old & 1893 newspaper article said died age 40)
d. 01/09/1893 in Shell Rock, IA (according to newspaper buggy was hit by train near home in Shell Rock died age 40)

m. 09/17/1877 in Shell Rock, IA

Loretta Swim
b. 11/07/1856 in Shell Rock, IA
d. 04/24/1926 in Seattle, WA

Children:

Arleigh Stewart
b. 03/1880
d. 02/03/1962 in Benton Co., OR

Lura Stewart
b. 03/26/1881 in Shell Rock, IA
d. 12/22/1957 in Seattle, WA

Winifred Stewart
b. abt 1885
d. ?

Jay Clarence Stewart
b. 09/11/1888 in IA or SD
d. abt 1919 prob in Olmsted or Fillmore Co., MN

Any information on when William was born or his parentage would be greatly appreciated.
