According to my records William Sidmore married Amanda Jane Madison about 1847 in Lewis Co., NY.
Joshua/Josiah m. Estelle E. Putman in 1881. The Sidmores moved from New York to Wisconsin and William and family moved on to Iowa. His obituary in the Beloit Daily Free Press, Sat., March 23, 1901 reads "Wm. Sherman Scidmore, formerly of this city died at his home in Bristow, IA of paralysis, aged 87 years. He leaves a wife, three sons and three daughters, Alfred, Josiah, Benjamin, Mrs. Jas. Graham and Mrs. Tm. Neal of Bristow and Mrs. I. A. Hall of this city. Mrs. Hall was called to Bristow a short time ago on account of her father's sickness, but he seemed to improve and she returned home."
